News For Commissions Going Forward...
Posted 2 months agoAlright well, this Journal is gonna be kind of split into two segments the good news and the bad news (it's not like terrible news or anything... maybe)
We'll start with the (maybe?) bad news first:
Commissions are going to be closed... and probably for a long while.
This is because I will be taking an extended break from being a full-time artist. At the beginning of March, I will be starting a new part-time job. With this job, I will not have time to work on any new commissions or sketches. However, if you were still in the queue from LAST month, you will still receive your commission/sketch or even your comic if you have paid for one.
What's the reason for stepping down from being a full-time artist? Well, the main reason is that I just want a break from working commissions. I seem to open every month and maaaybe finish that month's queue like half a month late while also starting on the next month's batch. I keep falling behind. It's not even so much that I'm struggling financially either. I still have two people who have been waiting on their comics for over a year. I'm also still working on the Should I Get Sleepy project with Darkwitt which has been a nice break from the monotony of single-page commissions. I'm still trying to make the rest of the eeveelution stickers. I still want to get back to animation. And I want to get back to Whenever They Catch You. I'm tired of promising myself I will get back to it someday. Ohh after the next commission batch, I'll do it. Oh, maybe sometime this weekend I'll do it. And then I never do. When I have commissions, I feel like my priority has to be for my clients first. Maybe it's a guilt thing? I dunno. But, I'm just... tired. I'm tired of not being able to draw for MYSELF.
Guys... I wanna get back to that comic.
And not just that comic, but OTHER comics. I've been brimming with ideas for hot spicy hypnotic/coiling comics that could be even LEWDER than WTCY. I wanna transfer some of that spicy motivation into doing animation as well! I've been slightly dabbling with some animation stuff and I've been YEARNING for the time to practice more guilt-free and maybe even try to get something released for you guys that I'm proud of.
This wasn't an easy decision. But it's one I've been ruminating for the past year. And last Dec, I decided to finally just go for it. I was careful in finding something part-time so that I could still have time to draw.
Will I open commissions again? Absolutely! When? I have no idea...
I want to deeply apologize to anyone who was looking to get one from me. Just know that commissions are not closed indefinitely. I will open again someday.
So now that brings me to the good news then? Which I'm sure you've guessed by now...
Whenever They Catch You will be back this year!
Along with other things to include...
- More Eeveelution Stickers!
- Animation Tests
- More Comics
- more doodles and goofy drawings I do in my spare time that aren't just Patron access only.
A lot of this you might not even see until the summer, (due to the new job and finishing up prior owed comms) but believe me, I will be working diligently on all of it!
Thank you all again for the wonderful support you continue to give me.
I seriously feel more proud of the work I do here than in any other job I've done in the past 20 some odd years. You guys make this all worth it. I'm super excited about what the future (art-wise) holds and what ideas I'll be sharing with you guys.

This needs to be said...
Posted 3 months agoI don't have time or energy to vet every single person that I draw for.
But if I find out later that an OC I drew belonged to a person who was a racist, transphobic, bigoted piece of shit? I'm deleting that image from all my socials.
Even if I spent hours upon hours making it. I don't break my principles.
This is the furry community. We are one of the biggest safe spaces for LGBTQ+ people out there. And no one should feel awkward or unsafe when it comes to viewing my work.
Hope you all are having a wonderful 2025 so far <3

Ive been a bit behind on work this month so I'm gonna be postponing opening commissions to next month.
I think in the process I will also be looking into POSSIBLY opening patreon sketch tiers again. I will go more into that with another Journal update.
I'm thinking of ways I can work on WTCY again while staying financially stable.

Where is the next Whenever They Catch You page?
Posted 9 months agoSo I've been getting this question... A LOT. And I've been trying to find a way to answer without making it sound like I'm making excuses.
But the truth of the matter is... I just haven't gotten around to it *shrugs shyly*.
Since I've switched to drawing full-time, my main focus has been drawing commissions to afford rent. I even TRIED doing comic commissions so that I could still be making comics while earning a living off it but WOOF that turned out to be a LOT more work than I anticipated. I haven't even completed all the comic commissions I took last year.
Plus, since last year, I've been working on a side project with
Darkwitt talking all about hypnosis. The script is currently going through some revisions and getting some professional input since we want to ensure the safety of those who practice hypnosis and not misrepresent any facts.

So where does that leave Whenever They Catch You?
It's still being worked on! The next page is in a kind of limbo at the moment (You can actually see the first panel lined on my Patreon). I promise I haven't given up on it or made it a Patreon-only type deal. I'm vowing to at LEAST finish the next page this year. I owe all of you that much since I still cannot overstate how much it melts my heart that so many are invested in the story.
And believe me, when I finish these comic commissions I'm going HARD on working WTCY again.

All my ToS and will/will not draw criteria will be on the form. Things have changed! So be sure to read it carefully!
I'm also including the options for sketches! I typically use a different approach to sketches than I do for regular commissions which is why I put them in their own category.
But if you wanted a cheaper option for a drawing from me, sketches can go between $28 to $112 depending on the #of characters and complexity!
OH and the Patreon discount applies for sketches too! $5 Patrons now are eligible for discounts on coms and sketches!

Sorry you guys might have to wait a bit till the next opening. And honestly, if I'm not all caught up by then I may even delay coms by ANOTHER month but I hope it won't come to that. I just REALLY want to stop getting so far behind.
*grumbles grumbles* I know I should probably raise my prices but wehhh the problem is just my schedule more than anything *grumbles grumbles*
But I'm gonna try as hard as I can to get all caught up! And when I do, I'm gonna look to find a way to balance comms and personal projects because I've been dying to get back to finishing WTCY. I've been aching for it!

If you're curious as to how to get your commission idea selected, I recommend putting an idea that's different from the usual. "__ coils my OC up and hypnotizes them" shtick.
Get creative!
If you can make it more interesting, put like a fun spin on it and/or have it almost tell like a story it'll be MUCH more likely to be picked! Reason is, I'm just tired of drawing the same coiling and hypnotized poses com after com after com.

Opening a Discord Group
Posted 2 years agoI took a poll on my Patreon asking if I should open a Discord group and there was a very overwhelming sway to the affirm on it!
So in a couple weeks (by July 21st) I should have a discord group link that I'll post here.
I'm mostly doing this because I figure since Twitter is going to pot and FA is just getting weirder all the time, it would be nice for there to be a central hub for like updates and announcements and such. Plus I'm getting tired of having to make more social media accounts and post all updates to each one individually. A discord group would be the place I post to first before posting elsewhere. Also, it'd be a great place for me to reach out to others as well as I feel I don't interact a whole lot with my followers. I could even do some gaming stuff, VR with folks, stream for folk, as well just connect with other artists too.
And you wont' have to be a patron to join either!
It'll have your basic channels for those that are patrons and non-patrons. The non-patrons will still get to see everything posted as well as participate in the main chat and voice channels.
There will be a separate channel for patrons that will get to still see wips, sketches, coms, and comics all a couple weeks early.
and... thats about it! I'm still so thankful to everyone that loves seeing my work and supporting my art career ^^ and I still cannot believe I have come this far with everything.

So in a couple weeks (by July 21st) I should have a discord group link that I'll post here.
I'm mostly doing this because I figure since Twitter is going to pot and FA is just getting weirder all the time, it would be nice for there to be a central hub for like updates and announcements and such. Plus I'm getting tired of having to make more social media accounts and post all updates to each one individually. A discord group would be the place I post to first before posting elsewhere. Also, it'd be a great place for me to reach out to others as well as I feel I don't interact a whole lot with my followers. I could even do some gaming stuff, VR with folks, stream for folk, as well just connect with other artists too.

1. Submit multiple forms!
Seriously, you can submit as many as you like! With multiple submissions I'm bound to find an idea in one of them that Im more likely to pick. On that note, I would much rather you share your ideas on the from than with DM-ing me because I'm in more of a drawing mood when I'm reading form submissions than I am most other times
2. Have it be something more than just my Vapytheon or Genevieve hypnotizing and coiling you
When you just want your OC coiled and hypnotized, it doesn't really leave much to the imagination. Now if you wanted like a fun scenario like maybe sleepwalking or having them put you in a fun pre-vore situation etc I'd be more likely to indulge on that.
3. Go for something totally out of the ordinary!
If you can make your submission REALLY stand out among the others, it may actually intrigue me MORE than a normal hypno/coiling request. Something like maybe a funny comic scenario or just something completely off the wall will be bound to make me more curious to try!
4. Have Lager get coiled up/hypnotized by... your OC? *wink wink*
Yeah I know that sounds a bit self indulgent but honestly I love seeing Lager in those scenarios T3T... I seriously need to commission more peeps for it.

COMS CLOSED | Regarding new FA policy
Posted 2 years agoFirst, thank you everyone who submitted a commission! I've picked all the ones I'll be doing for this month while I still finish up all the owed stuff.
SO... just to let you all know I did see the new policy change.
My feelings reflect just about everyone else's about it so I'm sure that's no real surprise. I think what started as a good-intention policy was just horribly executed. And when they tried to clarify more and more they only made it worse.
Obviously I am strongly against drawing underage-kink stuff as lined out in my terms of what I will and won't draw. But one thing I like drawing is size-difference situations (such as the large vaporeon/sylveon in the comic I'm super behind on) so I'm not entirely sure what the mods and admins interpretation of that would be.
Even though they think it's alright for a 13 year old to be pregnant and vored.... fucking EWWW
anywho... I thiiiink I'm alright with my stuff. I'm not going anywhere. I've made it clear I don't draw underage in what could be conceived as a "kink" scenario.
Some folks just have small characters (like Lager) that like it when they're teased by bigger creatures so as long as their ref says they're over 18 and I can draw them with more "adultish" looking proportions I guess then there really shouldn't be a problem.
Just thought I'd let you all know I'm track on that. And if for SOME reason it's still not good enough for the FA mods here, then don't forget the other places you can find me.
